had it for almost a year. loved it from day 1. runs quiet and smooth. the cord is long unlike the last canister type i owned made by sharp. the carpet/hard floor nozzle was a little awkward to use at first but after a few times, i'm so used to it. love it!!! i highly recommend this product!

I just received this vacuum and have been testing it out and comparing it to my older Sears canister.

The reason for buying it was that I needed something lightweight and easier to maneover, unlike the heavier Sears vacuum.

Pros:
* Lightweight, easy to move around the house
* Super suction power, MUCH better than the more expensive Sears canister I own.
* Variable suction control is a nice feature, especially for small scatter rugs.
* Suitable for solid floors like hardwood, laminate and tile floors.
* It is so quiet that my husband didn't actually believe the Electrolux was on and vacuuming the floor!
His words: "Is that it for noise?"

Cons:
* Off/On switch should have been designed on top of the handle/hose instead of on the canister.
* Attachments tools are flimsy, unlike my older vacuum. Time will tell how well these attachments hold up.
* Does not work as well as a vacuum with a beater bar for rugs, but I knew that before purchasing. However, it does suck up the dirt
very well on my scatter rugs.

So, I would recommend this vacuum only if you have solid floors, instead of wall-to wall carpeting.
If you have mostly carpeting, then the Oxygen model would be more suitable to your needs.

And again, time will tell if this vacuum will last more than a year. I sure hope it does!

The vacuum is quiet, light and powerful. The floor attachments work fine for a bit but then, no matter if you try to clean them after every use, they just slowly deteriorate - at least they do if you have pets. I have quite a few dogs and a cat and the floor attachment just doesn't hold up and you can forget about getting the actual brand replacement parts - they just flat out aren't available. Good vaccum, terrible attachments = I'll never get another one.
