I had a drawer full of old knifes that I never used because they were hard to cut with. I got rid of all of them and replaced them with this set. Now all my knives are organized nicely on the counter. They cut great; I have used them for vegetables, meat, fruit, pizza etc. I use at least one every night when I make dinner. I only wish I had the shearers...I may end up buying them separately. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they were so expensive but Amazon had them cheaper than anywhere else.

I got these knives about 6 months ago and I am still very satisfied. I am happy with the variety and quality of the knives. The orange handles are comfortable and look nice and modern paired with the birch block.

Another feature that I didn't think I would care about but do like is that the knives rest in the block upside down. Basically, when you slide it in, the blade doesn't slice into the block, but instead it rests safely facing upward.

I would definitely recommend these knives!

We have used the knives over a month now and are very satisfied with them. If you do not have a knife sharpener do get one as you have to sharpen them after every three or so uses. Contrary with other reviewers say they do not hold the edge "forever". The grips feel great in your hand. I definitely recommend this set. The Birchwood block is a plus. The Amazon price is also "right".
