The lamp is cute, and you get what you pay for. I just wanted a little lamp to read by at night, so it will be good for that. The lamp shade was also very fragile, and was bent in all over it.

Upon opening my package I was dismayed to find the lamp shade, which was in very poor condition, wasn't even in the box with the lamp. After opening the lamp, it was cracked right open at the base. The box it came in was flimsy, and the packaging was horrible. It actually came untaped during shipping. I contacted Amazon and returned it. I opted to try another one because I really needed a lamp and this one seemed perfect.

The new one came in 2 days, and what a difference. This time the lamp shade was packaged inside the same box as the lamp and looked completely different, I mean it was really nice!! Not plastic but a nice material. It was a completely different shade!! I am so happy with it, it's just perfect to read by at night.

This lamp has done everything I wanted it to do since I got it. It is small and fits perfectly where I wanted it. It has a great design and adds style to the area around it, and it produces adequate light.

It definitely looks like it cost more than it actually did.

Keep in mind, this is a small lamp. This was not made to take up a large amount of space. Know this when you buy it. For me, I wanted a smaller lamp, so I knew what I was getting. But for those of you hoping this would be a good lamp to put at your couch's side, measure out how big this actually will look and possibly reconsider your selection.

Also, as other said, I can also confirm this does not come with a bulb as it is advertised. Not a big deal. I was able to get a 10000 hour bulb for a couple bucks (60 watt bulbs are used, which is nice).

So, if you are looking for a small, stylish lamp, this will do its job nicely.

The base is not some thin cheap ceramic.it is thick and has weight..

For a little more than a lamp shade you get a truly beautiful table lamp..

I'm quite happy with this purchase...
Perfect for bedroom night stand or even end table in living room..

Keep in mind this is about 16" total height so it isnt a huge lamp..but if this is the size you need then you cannot go wrong..

I have to restate the base is not cheaply made. Nice thick ceramic...Glossy finish and has alot of weight for it's size
